Exciting News - Chelsey is currently studying!
Why I’m Investing in Advanced Facial Education After 24 years in the beauty industry, I still believe that the best practitioners never stop learning.
Dermapen Microneedling is coming, watch this space.
I’m currently completing Signature Facialist, an advanced practitioner pathway created by internationally recognised facialist Joni Hodson Ilias. This isn’t simply another facial massage course. It’s an in-depth study of facial anatomy, fascia, the nervous system, therapeutic touch and advanced manual techniques that are changing the future of holistic facial treatments. Every course is helping me understand not only how to create healthier skin, but also how to influence the deeper structures beneath the skin while creating an experience that calms the entire body. Here’s what I’m learning…
⸻
The FaceLift Ritual Combination Method
• Fascia release techniques• Facial sculpting •Buccal (intraoral) massage • Facial cupping • Breath-led facial therapy • Lymphatic drainage • Muscle release • Nervous system regulation
• Sound and sensory experiences • Treatment pacing and flow
⸻ Fascia First Foundations
One of the most exciting areas I’m studying is facial fascia. Fascia is an incredible web of connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, nerve and structure of the face. When fascia becomes tight, dehydrated or restricted through stress, ageing, repetitive facial expressions or injury, it can contribute to:
• Facial tension • Puffiness • Loss of contour • Reduced circulation • Restricted movement • Slower tissue repair • A tired appearance
⸻ Fascia First Practical Training
• Healthy circulation • Lymphatic movement • Tissue hydration • Reduced puffiness • Improved skin vitality
⸻ Nervous System Informed Certification
This includes understanding: • Co-regulation between therapist and client • Trauma-aware care • Creating emotional safety • How therapeutic touch influences the nervous system • Treatment pacing • Breath awareness • The science behind relaxation When clients feel safe, the body often responds differently. Relaxation isn’t simply a luxury—it supports many of the body’s natural repair processes.
⸻ Signature Breathwork Ritual Breath is something we all do automatically—but when used intentionally, it can influence the nervous system. I’m learning how guided breathing can become part of a facial ritual. Combined with therapeutic touch, it may help clients: • Relax more deeply • Slow racing thoughts • Release facial tension • Feel more present • Enhance the overall treatment experience
⸻ Signature Ritual Demonstrations
These live demonstrations show exactly how every treatment flows. I’m learning: • Treatment choreography • How to layer fascia work, cupping and buccal massage • When breathwork naturally fits within the facial • The use of sound to create a calming sensory environment • How to transition between techniques without interrupting relaxation • How to create an experience that feels effortless from beginning to end The goal isn’t simply performing techniques. It’s creating an unforgettable experience.
⸻ Elevating the Esthetician This six-week mentoring program focuses on refining everything surrounding the treatment itself. I’m learning how to: • Design a signature client journey • Create premium treatment experiences • Build long-term client relationships • Deliver personalised care • Develop treatments people remember and recommend It’s about becoming recognised not just for great skin results—but for exceptional care.
⸻ Quantum Boundaries Caring for others begins with caring for ourselves. This course explores how practitioner wellbeing, healthy boundaries and presence influence the client experience. A calm, regulated therapist creates a calm, regulated treatment room.
⸻ The Scarf Stretch Priming Method
This advanced training teaches how to prepare the facial tissues before treatment begins. These specialised stretching and priming techniques are designed to: • Encourage tissue mobility • Prepare fascia for deeper manual work • Improve treatment responsiveness • Support circulation • Create smoother, more effective facial techniques It’s about preparing the face so every technique that follows is even more effective.
